Researchers from Kaiser Permanente Northern California, University of Alabama and University of Minnesota suggest that breastfeeding cuts the mother’s risk of developing diabetes
Studying the health records of over 1200 women between the ages of 18 and 30 for 30 years the researchers found that the likelihood of developing type 2 diabetes was almost cut in half for women reporting to have breastfed for six months or longer.
